Partnership Building Activity
“From Neighbour to Neighbour!!!”

The partnership building activity aims to bring together different youth NGOs from different parts of Europe and elaborate new common projects through Youth in Action Programme addressing the issues in European Neighborhood Policy. Our aim is to build partnerships among different organizations with diverse background of youth work and unite them in one common idea, which is promotion of the cooperation between EU and Neighborhood countries in EECA region in the field of fostering youth cooperation within Neighborhood Policy. We want to gather young people from EU and Neighboring countries and to develop the competence of youth groups to incorporate the ideas of Youth in Action Programme in their activities.

By increasing their cooperation as well as access to new potential partners, we can contribute to the promotion of European values among young people and to the fostering youth participation in this process. Among the main objectives of the project is also to give knowledge on the current situation of youth in different countries, diverse experience regarding the best practices, different Actions of YiA and specific skills of project development and management. The event will provide structured space and time for the fostering of new youth partnerships and as a result, new project proposals will be elaborated by joint groups comprised of youth organizations from EECA and EU. The project will also has significant positive impact on the inter-cultural learning and cooperation.

Objectives are:

§          To provide space and opportunity for participants to express their reflections upon the definition of Europe , its borders and neighborhood.
§          To support participants to understand the main elements of European Neighborhood Policy, including provision of the opportunity for participants to reflect on the issues of indicated in Action Plans (democracy and rule of law, Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, Regional and Global Stability, Economic Development etc.)
§          To develop knowledge of the participants on European Institutions, the their roles in European Integration as well as on the policies most relevant for young people
§          To increase capacity of the participants to develop the projects addressing the elements of European Citizenship by delivering information on YOUTH in Action Programme and other funding tools as well as through promotion of the cooperation between EU and Eastern Europe and Caucasus region.
§          To empower young people to take own actions and become the leaders of European Youth initiatives in their communities who can contribute to developing more equal opportunities for all

Target group is youth leaders and youth workers, which are:

·          Between 18-25 years old

·          Already involved in youth projects and initiatives based on the principles of European integration, intercultural learning and voluntary service;

·          Willing to develop projects within Youth in Action in their communities;

·          Possessing  potential to multiply gained experience by developing new projects focused on the elements of European Neighborhood Policy in cooperation with EU and Eastern Europe and Caucasus countries

·          Motivated to actively participate in the event and to follow up with their own project initiatives and partnership building
